To all the beautiful kids.

This Mid-Autumn Festival, I had the great honour of hosting a lantern painting workshop for 40 children from three orphanages in Klang Valley, in collaboration with McDonald’s Malaysia. Watching each child immerse themselves in the joy of painting was truly heartwarming. Happiness can be so simple, even when we know each child carries their own unique story. It made me reflect deeply, appreciating the blessings I have and the gifts the world offers.
This experience brought back memories of my time with the Leo Club, where we organized annual camps for orphans. Over the years, we witnessed how those efforts empowered and transformed lives. Some of those children have stayed in touch with us, and seeing how far they’ve come continues to inspire me.

Story of the Night
"After the workshop, I noticed one boy staring intently at a table across the McDonald’s restaurant. Curious, I went over to sit with him. He seemed like a child who learns at a slower pace, and I wanted to keep him company. It turned out he was fixated on a little girl dressed beautifully, sitting on her father’s lap as he fed her McDonald’s. Watching them, I felt both warm and heartbroken at the same time. I gently patted the boy’s head and shared some fries with him. I couldn’t help but wonder what was on his mind —perhaps he was curious about what it feels like to have a father’s love. 🥲"
Every child is equal. Every soul is precious. They deserve to be nurtured and treasured. This journey has strengthened my resolve to be better — so I can give more, inspire more, and help shape brighter futures for these children, even if it’s just for one.
